Thanks for (hopefully) joining the BrightLines waitlist. I’m a technology lawyer and now I’m also an aspiring newsletter writer.
During law school, I wrote a tech and business newsletter for a media startup that grew to 45,000 subscribers in 18 months (helped by a much less crowded market back then). It remains the most fun job I have had (perhaps unsurprising since I’m a lawyer).
Ultimately, the startup folded and I lost my part-time job. To this day, I regret not finding a way to (legally) leverage the subscriber list I had built up and while I’ve dabbled in a few side businesses since, I’ve always wanted to start my own newsletter.
Predictably, I just had no idea what to write about.
Until now…
After practising law for approaching a decade, most of it in tech, I feel (hope?) that I have enough career capital and experience that my ramblings will be valuable to readers.
About me
I currently work in a VC-backed, IPO-track SaaS company. Prior to this, I worked at other scale-ups after cutting my teeth at a leading UK law firm. If you arrived at this page from SaaSCounsel.io, you’ll know that I also consult for a handful of startups.
Who is this newsletter for?
Founders and startup operators (especially if they handle contracts every now and then), lawyers and anyone with an interest in tech and business more generally.
Stay tuned for the first edition.
